Restaurants in Baan Tai
Baan Tai has a great range of restaurants. Not only in Baan Tai village but also along the main Thongsala to Haad Rin road there are dozens of restaurants to check out.
There is plenty of choice for people who like Thai cusine and fresh fish. There are also fast food places, Italian restaurants and coffee shops to get something to eat. Most of the restaurants in Baan Tai are reasonably priced. They all have menus in English and the staff will be able to understand enough English to take your order; although using Thai can often get you a big smile, if not better service!

Fisherman's Restaurant - Recommended
Fisherman's Restaurant is a highly rated fresh fish restaurant on the beachfront at Baan Tai. The seating faces the beach. Some of the seating is in beached longtail boats.
Popular dishes include the mixed seafood platter, yellow curry crab and fillet of barracuda. Barracuda, salad, rice and sauce costs 300 Thai Baht. They serve wine and have an inventive range of cocktails. Recommended is the fisherman’s mojito.
Food Factory - Recommended
Food Factory is on the main road near Thongsala. It is one of the best fast food places on Koh Phangan. Burgers, fries and pizzas as well as ice cold Singha beer on tap. The uniformed female staff do an admirable job making this place efficient and the food good. They show Aussie rules football and Premier League football on big screens and have regular drink promos for big spoting events. A bacon blue cheese burger is 195 Thai Baht.
At the moment Food Factory has a promotional offer of 150 Thai Baht for Full English breakfast; of course, available all day.
Amazon Cafe is a branch of a popular coffee shop chain. Various types of coffee and nibbles as well as free wifi. Air-con and comfortable but nothing stand-out about this place.
AB 99 is a small Thai restaurant with bamboo chairs and tables and cold drinks in the fridge.
Food Wishes is a small restaurant serving Thai food at reasonable prices.
Fish Fetish has a great beachfront location. Light and airy restaurant just down the road from Fisherman's Restaurant. The restaurant opened December 2015.
The menu includes grlled fish, sushi and shell food.
Sarah's Sushi Restaurant - Recommended
Sarah's Sushi Restaurant is a Japanese restaurant offering excellent sushi as well as gyoza and Burmese salad. Sarah also has cooking classes. Read more here.
Outlaws Saloon - Recommended
Outlaws Saloon serves great Western food such as steaks and burgers. Wild West theme. Has pool table, shows Premier League football games and has live music in the evening.

Hell's Kitchen - Recommended
Hell's Kitchen is not a Gordon Ramsey start-up. It is, however, a good place to get good fast food such as burgers as well as the popular Thai dish called mu graa tat. It is a hotpot dish that is cooked at your table. Few restaurants serve this dish.
Jeem's Restaurant is on the main road, close to Thongsala. It is a small and friendly restaurant serving up tasty Thai food. It has bamboo furniture and a relaxed atmosphere.
Krua Supan is a small restaurant that specialises in BBQ meats. They have a buffet for those with a real hunger.
Malaithong Restaurant serves good Thai food. It is a basic Thai style restaurant.
Memory Restaurant and Bar
Merry Restaurant has cheap Thai food. This place has good service and is popular with backpackers.
Sara's Kitchen - Recommended
Sara's Kitchen is a small restaurant on the main road near Thongsala. It has basic plastic table and chairs. It serves breakfast basics as well as some good value and authentic Thai food.

Nakron Wood Restaurant is a small restaurant that serves up delicious and fresh Thai food.
The Lounge - Recommended
The Lounge is a British owned restaurant that serves all day English breakfast, custom made sandwiches and has a BBQ buffet every evening. Happy hour is from 7pm to 8pm when cocktails are 100 Thai Baht. Opens 8am to 10pm. Free wifi.
The Pier Restaurant
The Pier Restaurant is a seafood restaurant at Baan Tai pier. They will cook your fish to request.
Thai Food is a basic roadside restaurant serving Thai dishes. Probably doesn't have a name.
Bamboo Bistrot - Recommended
Bamboo Bistrot serves French / Thai fusion dishes. One of the best restaurants in Baan Tai.
Ando Loco - Recommended
Ando Loco is a long-running restaurant in Baan Tai that serves the best Mexican food on the island. They also have some good drink deals.
Ando's Corner is a small fast food place where you can 'build your own' burgers and sandwiches.
Yoghurt Home 1
Yoghurt Home 1 serves healthy food including home-made yoghurt.
