Morning Star Resort
Morning Star Resort was a basic backpacker bungalow outfit, but has been totally upgraded, and is now a luxury flashpacker resort with stylish bungalows with air-con, hot water and plasma TV. It is located at the east end of the Ban Tai beach, near the Thong Nai Pan turning.
There is a small pool, a restaurant and a lively bar with resident DJ. They have aero hockey, shisha pipes, kayaks, cinema evenings and pre-party events. This place is firmly marketed to the young and party-minded.
The accommodation options are polview bungalow, garden bungalow, beachfront bungalow and deluxe bungalow. The bungalows have full height glass windows and doors. All the bungalows have hot water shower, air-con and plasma TV.
Rooms also come with tea and coffee making facilities, mini bar and safety box.
There is some furniture and the furnishings are superior to the typical wooden bungalow.
The beachfront bungalows have full wall glass sliding doors leading on to a private terrace overlooking the beach.
Full Moon Minimum Stay
The minimum stay requirement for the Full Moon Party is 4 consecutive nights stay.
Morning Star Resort renovated in 2015 and its facilities are therefore in good condition. The bungalows are roomy and well appointed. They come with air-con, hot water shower, TV, safe and fridge.
The resort also has a relaxing restaurant and a bar that stocks draught beer, makes cocktails and cranks up the volume for parties. Further entertainment is provided by pool table, aero hockey, kayaks and cinema movie nights.
There is a pool to relax in. The resort has free wifi coverage as well as lap tops and playstation 3's to rent.
